Collection: Baby Yarn

When you knit for a little one, you want to know what will end up against their skin. Here are the yarns that are soft enough for that – with a high share of alpaca, merino, or virgin wool. Please note: hand wash only.

Soft on sensitive skin

Alpaca has flatter scales than sheep’s wool, and merino is especially fine. Many people find both comfortable, even on sensitive skin. Some yarns also contain a small amount of polyamide so they keep their shape after washing.

Please read before you buy: hand wash only

All our yarns are hand wash only, not machine washable. For baby clothes, that makes a real difference in everyday life, so we say it clearly here instead of hiding it in the fine print. If you’re looking for a piece that will be washed often and hot, machine-washable wool is the better choice.
